TCM Student Ministries – Ignition
Ignition is the umbrella name for our student ministries at TCM that provide a variety of activities during term time. Ignition summarises our central aim to disciple students who will give their lives wholly to Jesus Christ to be used by Him.
If you are a student at TCM, our prayer is that during your time with us you will be ignited by God for a lifetime of Christian service in Lincoln and beyond:
- on the university campus
- into the workplace
- the home
- the community
- wherever the Lord chooses to place you – even to the ends of the earth!
Why the name Ignition?
The illustration below shows three components necessary for ignition:
oxygen, heat and fuel.
To ignite us as Christians

Oxygen = God the Holy Spirit
Saturate me with the oil of the Spirit, that I may be aflame (Jim Elliot).

Heat = Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God ... (Hebrews 11:6).

Fuel = The Scriptures
