Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together ... but let us encourage one another ... (Hebrews 10:24–25)

Teaching – Loving community – Mission
About us
As well as having a wide range of ages, members of the Potterhanworth Home Group are from a variety of backgrounds, and have different experiences of life. Some members have not been Christians for very long, while others have been Christians for many years, but together we are united in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We meet on a regular basis with the following goals:
- to grow in our knowledge of God and understanding of His Word, the Bible
- to develop loving and caring relationships with each other
- to reach out with the gospel in our local community.
How we meet our goals
Teaching
- Studying the Bible together.
- Discussing the meaning of passages being studied to increase our knowledge of God and understanding of His Word.
- Sharing together how we apply biblical truth and principles to our lives and circumstances, and the difficulties we face.
Loving community
- Attending Home Group as often as possible to develop relationships and trust between members.
- Keeping in touch and caring for each other during the week – visits, phone calls, texts, emails, website etc.
- Praying for each other – sharing requests and answers to prayer.
- Organizing social events – eating together, group outings etc.
Mission
- Praying for opportunities to share the gospel with our non-Christian colleagues, friends and neighbours.
- Organizing social events to invite our non-Christian friends to – barbecues, outings etc.
- Taking part in local community activities to develop relationships with others – school parents' evenings, school governors, sports, pub quizzes etc.
