Sutton On Sea Beach Day

Two years ago on my first experience of a day at the seaside with TCM it rained all day, although we still had lots of fun. Thankfully last year the weather was great - the sun shone, and Enterprise Hall at Sutton-on-Sea was soon filled with many church members and friends.

The day was very relaxing - most people spent their time sitting on the beach or playing rounders and cricket. For lunch it was fish & chips back in the village hall with some much needed refreshment in the form of tea and coffee.

We held a sandcastle competition in the afternoon with some very fine entries (especially those that had adult help!) Later I being a good British holiday maker, rolled up my trousers and went for a paddle. The more adventurous (or brave / mad) went for a swim. It was a fantastic day out, and a great opportunity to deepen friendships and have lots of fun.
