Word Followers (including crèche)

Who?

Word Followers runs on a Sunday morning during the service. It is for pre-school children, aged up to 5 years of age, and includes a programme for the very little ones.

What?

It is a friendly group, consisting of many babies and toddlers. It is run by different members of our church family, most of whom are parents or grandparents themselves. There are games, toys and craft activities, and a Bible story.

Why?

Word Followers enables parents to leave their children for a few minutes while they go back into the service to enjoy the rest of the worship time and sermon. The children are well cared for (by DBS checked helpers) and enjoy their own time of learning about God and Jesus.

Word X-Plorers

Who?

Word:X-Plorers runs on a Sunday morning during the service. It is a Bible-centred initiative for children between 6 and 10 years of age.

What?

We seek to work closely with parents to make disciples of Jesus.

Why?

Our core aims are that when our young people come to leave:

  1. They grasp the main story of the Bible
  2. They can study the Bible for themselves and apply it correctly
  3. They know the gospel

Groundwork

Who?

Groundwork is a Bible study group for young people between 11 and 14 years of age, and takes place during Sunday morning services.

What?

To discover what a real disciple of Jesus looks like today.

Why?

The aim of Groundwork is to disciple young Christians as they explore the Bible, learn its truth and apply it to their lives. The programme helps support young people and encourages them to engage with their faith, grow in their understanding of it, as well as equipping them to share it.
