Men at TCM – 27/17
27/17 exists to enable men to get to know each other better and to encourage each other in the faith.
The name 27/17 is taken from Proverbs 27:17: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. There are usually monthly meetings: either Saturday morning breakfasts or Thursday night social events, often with an inspiring Christian speaker.
Women at TCM
The women’s ministry at TCM aims to include all of our ladies regardless of age or life stages. We have three regular meetings:
- Ladies Prayer and Bible Study Group
- LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together).
For further information or if you have any questions, contact us.
Ladies Together is a time of fellowship for women over dinner or breakfast, followed by Bible teaching and/or testimony.
Women of all ages and stages are welcome (from Key Stage 3) – and please invite your friends!
All events take place at TCM Baptist Church and are free to attend (donations welcome).
Ladies’ Prayer and Bible Study Group
The Ladies’ Prayer and Bible Study Group meets on Tuesdays between 10:30am and 12 noon. The group starts with coffee and a chat together, moving into a time of reflection and/or study of the Bible. We work loosely to a programme for each month, starting with a monthly Bible study on a theme we have chosen for the current term.
During the rest of each month, ladies from within the group, who feel able to, take turns in preparing and leading a time of looking at a theme or passage of their choice from the Bible. Occasionally, there are testimonies from group members when this is appropriate.
We aims to have a time of prayer at each meeting, but on the first Tuesday of the month there is dedicated prayer for the nation.
The group supports The Christian Institute both in prayer and financially.
Our ongoing prayer is that the group is open to God’s plans for the group and for a deeper understanding of the Bible and prayer.
Ladies In Fellowship Together meets on Tuesdays at 12 noon and is followed directly by our Followers children’s group.
It aims to provide an opportunity to help, encourage and give friendship to women in the midst of busy lives. This allows us to share fellowship over lunch (please bring your own) then as the children play, mums have a time of study and discussion.
